Laurie Klotzbach Curtis, 32, is a political consultant, mother and chairs the government affairs committee for the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce. This is her perspective on life right now.

PRIDE AND JOY

My daughter, Julia, who is 18 months old, is the joy of my life. I love being a mom and enjoy watching the new things she learns on a daily basis. I am very blessed to have a career where I can work from home and spend lots of time with my daughter, sharing our love of books and time outdoors...

LOOKING FORWARD

In the near future, I am looking forward to election victories in November. I also hope to have the opportunity to mentor and encourage other women who seek to balance work and family and to help create more opportunities for work-from-home moms. My ultimate dream job is to be a political columnist and commentator.
